Recently released security research findings on older generation Java based Cinterion modules indicated that some low-volume, end-of-life models – based on a past generation chipset that is no longer part of our portfolio – may be affected by some of the identified security vulnerabilities. Telit Cinterion has concluded the necessary steps to address the vulnerabilities identified by external security researchers.
The findings have been thoroughly analyzed by our internal teams, and a comprehensive set of mitigation strategies developed to protect customers using products that may be affected. These strategies include software patches, mitigations, and recommendations for best practices. We advise customers who still use these modules to follow these guidelines (available in our download zone) to safeguard their solutions.
